[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,95%,true][atrb=align,center,true][bg=#bcbcbc] Blaze " all our lives, we live in chains and yet we never know, we hold the key"
STARE AT THE ESSENTIAL QUALITIES ( the vicinity overflows with the lie. ) NAME: Blaze NICKNAME(S)/ALIAS: None AGE: 20 years BIRTHDAY: September 14 GENDER: XY, Male TYPE: Fire LEVEL: 60 MOVES:- EXTREME SPEED.
Appearing as a blur, Blaze uses this normal move to exercise against inanimate object like boulders. It also allows him to run at imaginably quick speeds, moving swiftly despite his size and causes immense damage to his opponent because of the force his velocity gathers. The longer the distance, the stronger the impact which is still a great deal at a short distance because of Blaze's immense bulk. Achieved at level 39.
- FLARE BLITZ.
During a high paced charge, Blaze can envelop himself in a ball of fire and slam into a Pokemon. However because of his massive weight and amazing strength, this move could prove fatal. If the fire doesn't burn to death, then the blow will shock and perhaps crush his opponent. The intensity of the flame also depends on Blaze, for the most damaging is the blue flame that signifies high temperatures and a ruthless wrath from Blaze. Born with this ability from two Arcanine parents.
- SOLAR BEAM.
This grass-type move requires Blaze to take a moment to gather energy before it emits a blindingly bright light that becomes a physical force to knock out another Pokemon. It is most effect in the day time and one of Blaze's most practiced moves for he uses it to collect food too high, using it to cut the stem before he catches it. This move is powerful however when the Arcanine demands it and very effective when used for protecting or defending someone. Forced to absorb this Technical Move.
- THUNDER FANG.
A striking move that injects electricity and damages, or paralyzes through the force of magnificent jaws clamping down. It may cause Pokemon to flinch and is a move that Blaze avoids using for it could prove fatal. Instead, he manages to make his grip very gentle and will use electricity to cook if needed for the weaker Pokemon. He is very careful with this strength of his. Was blessed with this strength from his hatching and kept it throughout.
THE LIVING THING IS COMPOSED OF PROTOPLASM ( the mind is sure to wake. ) PERSONALITY:
- ELITE.
Blaze is a canine, first and foremost and so his behavior reflects one. He is immensely loyal, his devotion is steadfast and he would never abandon a friend. On terms of betrayal, it would hurt him but his sense of loyalty would not deter. He would follow them to the end of the world, in hopes of redeeming or resurrecting the friend that he had known before. However, he does lack the overly friendly and loving enthusiasm that is associated with dogs. Blaze holds himself in a regal manner instead, for his age and pride demand it. He knows his wisdom is advantageous and gives it, if asked to provide knowledge to the naive to make them wise as well. But it also advises him, especially being an older age to not be foolish. This Arcanine does not throw his trust around easily, nor his devotion. This elitism in him prevents him from being hurt and keeps him from trouble, although he tends to find it himself. Nevertheless, Blaze is a gentleman with quaint manners but no smile or charm to associate with it.
- PROTECTIVE.
Fiercely protective, Blaze will come to the defense of practically everyone. His ultimate goal is to reduce the problems and prevent disaster, to create peace and encourage others to have a healthy diet. For being a creature of fire and a monster of destruction, Blaze is far deeper then just his appearance. Although intimidating with a forceful attitude to support it, Blaze is actually very nature-oriented and is a food enthusiast. He works diligently to maintain a garden because he adores berries and cooking which the Arcanine manages to do because of his moves, Thunder Fang and Flare Blitz. This hobby is something that Blaze defends, for although it seems something a more gentler character would do than a fierce dog. It is something that he loves and it helps him provide for others and prevent disputes. He is a good soul, despite his inability to smile or act positively. Nevertheless, his desire to be heroic and care are portrayed through his actions instead of his facade.
- STOIC.
Unfortunately, Blaze suffers from a case of a lack of emotion. He absolutely hates to show too much feeling, for his is quite the locked case. Happiness is expressed with a subtle wave of his tail or perhaps a prick of his lips. Anger is perhaps the most noticeable trait, for the Arcanine has a fierce temper if necessary. Wrathful when someone is wronged or being bullied, this just and powerful Pokemon will deal his own brand of justice. In fact, he can be rather ruthless in his desire to punish for something done badly. But at times, it is more his inability to control his temper that makes him do such harsh things. Thus, Blaze avoids activities that tempt his anger but still finds himself rushing to the rescue others. Other then that, when he is helping someone or handing out treats. He can be found to be rather cold and a bit distant, although his gestures are warm.
- BITTER.
Perhaps the reason why Blaze acts the way he does, with such an emotionless disposition to the world is his need to protect not only others but himself. The cause of this is because of his heart, for it is scarred and broken in so many ways that it is perhaps forever ruined. Ashamed, Blaze had decided to leave his master which was one of the hardest things for him to do. His loyalty was disproved and he was heartbroken, his trust was tossed away and he was hurt. The Arcanine went against all he believed in for his love and faith in his fellow team-mates was stronger, for they treated him with love and respect. Nevertheless, the bitterness in him for not being able to provide for his team-mates, to making his master better and for abandoning him make him a difficult character. He avoids emotions and makes other believe he is anti-social. But in reality, it is a protective barricade that hides the crying Growlithe inside.
LIKES:
- FOOD.
Blaze adores food, it was one of the things he never got enough of but when he could. He indulged in it, treasured it and often was a little possessive of it. But when the the original six had left, they were able to find food more then they had previously. Blaze learned to share and loved the feeling of it. He also adores feeding others, basking in their joy and cooking has always been his one artistic vice.
- the FIVE.
The original six, of which Blaze was one, have always been his closest companions. They were the only ones to know him before and after coming to the island. He is devoted to them because they are his only family and the closest he'll ever have to one. Thunder is the one that Blaze trusts the most, she aids him in enforcing rules and keeping peace. He trusts her word and would die to protect her, the Arcanine considers her like a best friend. Muscle is probably the only one whom Blaze will actively interact with during exercise, for he is the only one who can withstand his strength. The Machoke is likely the only one to ever experience anything close to "playing" as Blaze will get. However the Pokemon is always very careful of his attitude.
Heart is perhaps the only one that he worries about, for although she is tough and hardy. She is small and seemingly fragile, but Blaze hardly voices his concerns for she is headstrong and easily insulted. Scale, although she argues with Thunder is highly respected in Blaze's eyes. He admires her but can be found to be a bit wary, for fear of any reprimanding to Thunder or being blasted with water. However they still manage to remain close friends and Blaze will sometimes converse with Scale, for she is as wise and as strong as he is. Drum is a goofy character whom can actually entertain Blaze a great deal, but the Arcanine is always quick to defend him during one of Thunder and Scale infamous arguments because he likes to support Scale. Nevertheless, he is jubilant and comical which actually manages to warm Blaze up a bit.
- NATURE and the ISLAND.
He enjoys nature, the smell of it and the feel of it. Being surrounded by nature makes him feel wild, free and sometimes it allows him to forget his tragic past. One of the things that he loves the most is racing with the wind or standing atop a grand hill while a storm is blistering the sky. Blaze also loves to cultivate and grow things, for he adores being able to encourage life and make it useful. Something Blaze feels should have been done for him and the others. The island was perhaps the best place for him, for he protects it zealously and is devoted to keeping it lively and help it flourish.
- STORIES.
His wisdom has always been something that Blaze has always been willing to share. The Arcanine's most effective way of sharing it is stories, he has an active imagination for how stoic he is. Actually, Blaze is perhaps most animated when telling a story but to coax him to tell a story rather then give a lesson is quite difficult. Nevertheless, one of the best ways is to offer an exchange of stories. He loves to hear them, for it gives him hope and morals as well as more tales to tell others. Most of all, Blaze loves a tale with a happy ending for he wishes that for everyone. He adores romance as well, for it is something that he does not intend to experience himself. Adventure and high thrills excite him and are perhaps his second favorite type of story.
- CHILDREN.
For his stoic disposition and easily induced temper, Blaze has a serious adoration for children. Their innocence, their brightness and how easily they forgive as well as their ability ti play without a thought of consequence. He is quite jealous of them and thrives on protecting their attitude, their way of life. The Arcanine respects it and wants to retain it. Growing up is perhaps the worst thing that he ever experienced and tries to prevent it, although he knows its inevitable. Still, Blaze enjoys interacting with the children and although its rare, you could possibly catch a toothy grin.
DISLIKES:
- BETRAYAL.
This is perhaps the worst way you can hurt Blaze, it could kill him for he would still follow whoever betrayed him. He would obey them and serve them, for his loyalty is his up most priority. The five other Pokemon, his other team-mates are perhaps the strongest Pokemon he knows because they have the ability to destroy them. They are the closest to his heart and perhaps the only, if he is unable to prevent others from drawing near. Nevertheless, he would not stand if others he cared for were betrayed. It is the one thing that can stir his anger, it would allow him to brandish his most severe method of punishment or entice him to kill which is perhaps one of the most dangerous things someone could make him do.
- CRUELTY.
Blaze cannot stand it, he would commit it himself to prevent someone from doing so. He knows it is not in his heart to do so, so damaging his one rule of no violence in order to enforce and stop it would be the only exception. Although he is a carnivore, Blaze is careful to choose his prey and forbids himself from devouring someone who would be missed. Thus he grows things, tenderly as he believes everything should be treated as.
- NO CONTROL.
The Arcanine hates when there is chaos about, perhaps it was always because order and a pecking order always made him feel secure. He understands that his stature makes him powerful, it gives him a sense of security and an ability to enforce his ideals. Blaze likes that the six are regarded as leaders, for be believes this is what Pokemon naturally need and because most come from trainers. It is something they require to survive properly. Although he misses trainers and humans, Blaze tries to substitute them with a distant figure who remotely cares for them. However it is difficult, because at times there is no one controlling him and that frightens him. He would fall apart without the other five.
- STARVATION.
Food has always been one of his favorite things, but starvation was what he suffered for the longest time. It was his reward for doing well, for leveling and battling. So he reveled in the praise offered in food form, devoured it hungrily and fought because of his gratefulness for the prize from his trainer. When he left his trainer and arrived on the island, it was the first time that Blaze was able to stuff himself and wolf down all he wanted. It was a freedom and an opportunity for him to provide for others, to bring happiness. Food is important thus one of his greatest fears is to starve, to never eat and feel the fullness that provokes happiness.
- his HEART.
More then disliking it, this is something that he fears. For Blaze knows that there is emotion in there, there is feeling. There is hurt and betrayal, shame and bitterness. There is love and adoration, there is a power in there that could destroy him or change him. Blaze is afraid of its strength and knows that he has no control over it. It practically has a mind of its own and so he hides it. His physical being and a simple personality is all he needs to stay secure, to remain solid. But it is difficult to retain such a stoic attitude when there is such a beast, such a love filled to the brim and bubbling, almost anticipating a bursting wave to overflow. Thus, he stays wary of it and cautious against using it for it could take advantage and reveal itself.
HISTORY:
B L A Z E the A R C A N I N EThe wind sifted through his light cream fur and waved his tail along its current, thrashing against him and driving the chill towards his bones. But that inner source of heat kept him warm, confirming that he was alive rather then just a statue atop a hill. It kept him content as well, as he lay like a sphinx on the crest of the grassy mound. His only company was a little tree, tall and thin. It was being buffeted by the breeze, leaning and swaying but remaining firmly rooted. It wasn't a proper tool for shade, but it was inspiring for its determination to stay. It was pleasant company to have. Blaze glanced back at it, his orange eyes watching it as his brow furrowed.
He was momentarily concerned that it would snap, for the wind was ceaselessly tossing it back and the trunk seemed quite ready to give in. But the playful breeze released its grip, returning back to the Arcanine and rushing in between his ears as it rolled down the hill. He sighed a heavy breath and dropped his head down, perching his chin atop his paws. Blaze was relieved that the tree was okay, it encouraged him to believe that everything was okay. It had happened once, when things were bad. Someone pushed them to a place that was okay, that was good. It could happen again, but wasn't this place supposed to remain good? The massive Pokemon reflected for a moment, reliving his past as he lay majestically atop the crest of a lone hill with the wind and a tree as his company.
It was cold, the night he was born. He could feel it through the thin hardened membrane of his shell, windy perhaps but he couldn't feel that. All Blaze knew was that he had to huddle around the little fire, the little heart that beat to show that he was alive. The Growlithe, for he was just a pup then, was born to two wild Arcanines. They had come from the fiery volcanic mountains, likely where firestones originated since they were evolved. Massive and intimidating, few existed in the wild for they were territorial and needed a large plot of land of their own. They had few predators, yet something had prompted this couple to venture into the forest to birth their egg. Yet like wild, feral creatures, they ran when something spooked them. Abandoning their single egg to the night's air, to the chill of the darkness until morning came.
Blaze was conscious of being alone, but not aware that his parents had left him. Instead, he knew instinctively that it was time to break free. But it was so cold outside, that it numbed his natural ability to break free. Until suddenly, he felt the rumbling of the ground and a warmth coming from a dark corner atop his egg. The excitement and the touch rushed upon him and in his eagerness, the Growlithe stretched his body out to reach it. Suddenly, the bright light seeped through and Blaze toppled over onto the ground. The dark spot disappeared and instead, there lay a man who had jumped back in surprise at the Pokemon that had hatched before him. The Arcanine smiled warmly, the first time he had met his trainer. It had been a great day, although it shouldn't have. Any other Pokemon with a personality unlike his, would have regretted the day and wish it had never happened. Perhaps even wished they had never been born, even prayed the cold had extinguished the fire in them. But Blaze did not. Blaze loved him, for he was his parent. Blaze lived to serve him, as any canine would their master.
There had been another Pokemon there, Thunder. She was a Pikachu then. There were no other Pokeballs on his belt and he smelled fresh, he smelled frustrated actually. But he was young and Blaze was eager to meet him, this new creature that had provided him an entrance into life. More then happily, the Growlithe devoted his life to the man. When the man composed himself, pushing forward to get onto his feet. The little baby Pokemon rushed upon him, licking his face and snuggling close. That was the first time, Blaze felt the gentle touch of his hand but then it became rough. Pushing him away, but the Growlithe was relentless. He wanted to thank this man, he wanted this man to love him. He wanted to be his family. He was a dog, after all. The Arcanine grunted, folding his paw toward his chest and putting his chin upon the grassy soil. Good feelings never lasted long, but Blaze had managed to stay stupidly innocent for quite awhile because his happiness and joy that came from the man's existence was overwhelmingly abundant.
Thunder was the only kind one there, but Blaze did not see her much. The man disapproved of his playful behavior, wanting him to become powerful and strong. The trainer was ambitious, ruthless and cruel but the Growlithe adored him more then anything. He tied Blaze up to a rock every night, leaving him outside to sleep. It was to toughen him up, but the Pokemon was just so happy to see him every morning that it didn't work out very well. They traveled, harsh and difficult paths with little food. So Blaze appreciated what was given to him, for he knew it took a great effort from his master to give him a meal. He had to sacrifice his own food for Blaze to eat. Even Thunder didn't get fed sometimes and she was so strong, and so good to Thunder. Thunder loved her like a sister, but his focus was on the trainer. Blaze would try to share with Thunder, but she was proud and wanted him to be okay. She was good in that way. Blaze closed his eyes, remembering Thunder when she was younger. Yellow with pink cheeks, she was strict and advised him to act a certain way to avoid the master's reprimands. But she was talkative and introduced him to his love of stories. She was his first real loving family member.
When Blaze was old enough, the master began to train him through battles. He did well, for although his body was weak. His will and desire to please was strong. Blaze would kill if his master told him too. He was that devoted to that cruel man. But there were times when the Growlithe would lose and the master would smack him, kick him or leave him tied to a tree for long periods of time. Alone. But always, he found something good out of it. The punches, well he would get to smell his master's scent from the mark it left afterwards. The kicks, well it meant his master touched him! And the tree...well it made anticipating his return so much more rewarding when he came back. But it was a difficult life and with Thunder's mentorship, he slowly began to retain that puppy quality. Thunder began to grow, not only physically but also emotionally. He knew what pleased his master and so locked all his wild emotions, all impulses and became calculative. The Growlithe became a weapon to be wielded by his master's flick of a finger.
Blaze was lucky to be able to grow so quickly, partially it was due to having such a good bloodline from unknown Arcanines. But he was born with Flare Blitz and Thunder Fang, difficult abilities to gain if a Pokemon was not born with it. But he had been and he used them, honed them to please his master. It wasn't long before he reached the double digited levels, then kept increase by two-folds at least every week. It was difficult and strainer, but the Growlithe increased his bulk through the building of muscle rather then fat. His diet was too little, too bare to be able to get more then just what was required to keep him alive and give him enough energy to work. Even when he was tired, Blaze pushed himself until exhaustion. Returning to the pokeball was always an essential time to rest, to nap before reawakening to work and be punished for not working hard enough. But it was worth it, just to be close to his master. Eventually, his master was not satisfied with his build and found a firestone, forcing him to evolve quite early on. Nevertheless, his trainer was good to him and even treated him with a technical move. It was difficult to absorb and painful, but Blaze could already feel its power in him. It was good for a while, tolerable at least for Blaze.
Other Pokemon were added to the team, but none seemed as adoring to their master as Blaze was. Even when one of their family was thrown away, Muncher. Blaze did not hate his trainer, although he did sneak away into the night to release Muncher from his poke ball before returning to camp. Nevertheless, he was endlessly faithful. Even after that day when Thunder woke him, forcing him out of the quaint darkness he was used to. Expecting to train, Blaze stretched out only to realize that it was Thunder who had summoned him. Her words were quick, precise and full of betrayal. The speech revealed what he already knew was true, but the Arcanine had grown accustomed to them. He expected it, he took it as praise. Always getting better, sometimes even gaining the attention of his master. But Blaze knew it was for the better, especially for the family he had grown so close to. Scale and Drum, had come after him. Then Heart and then Muscle, all of them had become a little piece of his heart as he took himself away from it.
Nevertheless, Blaze agreed for they could not survive on his own and he would be broken without them. But it was difficult for him to leave, each few steps. The Arcanine would look back, listen and see...sometimes even hope their master was coming to find them. But he never did, they escaped swiftly and were gone before the trainer had neither any clue nor any idea of how to retrieve them. They traveled long trips, the smaller Pokemon perched upon Blaze's back. They ate less then the master provided, but at least all of them were able to eat together and at the same time. It was okay, although majority of them had a strong prejudice against the humans and so refused to ask. It would have given them more food, but Thunder insisted that they shouldn't. That they couldn't. Still, Blaze secretly yearned for their master and yearned for someone to hug him, hold him...or even just pet him. Someone to stroke his fur or scratch his ear. Something. Anything. But he lost that feeling for the journey was treacherous and endless, meaningless almost. They had achieved their goal, they'd run away from their cruel master but...but, they had no where to go. Nothing to do, the lack of a schedule and training made Blaze depressed and frustrated. But he obeyed the only voice that had never led him wrong, he listened to Thunder.
And Thunder listened to the world, looking for a better place for her loved ones. Finally, she heard the rumors. The little trails left behind by Pokemon and their gossip, their conversations. It didn't take long but finally, Thunder found the clues that she needed and they plunged into the ocean to find this unknown place. It was strange for him, this lack of control and even more. The sea had such a strong current, it pulled him to and throe even when he tried to stay still for the Thunder when she sat on him, too exhausted to swim. It wasn't the water he disliked, but how weak he felt against the ocean. It was so vast, so wide and so powerful when Blaze had thought himself to be. But here, he was so helpless. Even his paddling paws could only take him so far, it was the current who held them and herded them toward the island. Luckily, Pokemon aided them. Blaze was too proud, but he was tired and eventually, he was forced too lest he be drowned under the fierce waves. But each ripple of water, the Arcanine grew colder and colder. The remorse in his heart ate away at him until there was nothing left, just what peace his team mates gave him.
The Arcanine clenched his jaws and shifted uncomfortably, his flashback was coming to an end. He knew it was many years ago that they found the island, named it Oran and established it as their territory, their sanctuary. But each day, it felt just like yesterday that he had betrayed and left his master. Blaze knew it was the right thing to do, he knew it was for the better. But it pained him, made him ashamed to be an Arcanine. But he hid it away, for it was an extreme emotion that could not be revealed. He had to forget it, what was past was past. Pain lasted, but he couldn't dwell on it. The pain, he had tolerated for so long. It existed mostly because it made Blaze feel secure, nevertheless it was still that past. His owner was gone, the humans were gone. There were Pokemon here, to be taken care of. Pokemon that were hungry...Blaze lifted himself on his thick legs, shaking his mane and stretching his neck forward. He pushed his broad chest down, his plush mane flattening before he lifted himself. The wind sifted through his coat, primping and combing. Blaze gave a grunt of thanks, before descending down the hill to feed the masses that inhabited the island of Oran. It would be all right, everything would eventually...be okay.
