Duster rolled onto his back as cool breezes buffeted his brown and tan fur. His tail flicked the tall grass, clearly showing his comfort. He stretched up his legs, his paws striking at air. The creme-colored mane of fur around his neck fluffed out around him. It was warm today and he knew that spring was coming soon. That was a good thing for him. That meant no more forraging for berries in the ground. He could simply find them near trees or above water. No need to dig any more now. He flipped onto his side and pricked his ears. The only reason spring was bad was because of the mating season. He wasn't interested in it. At all. He was still young, not even a year yet, but he still had reason to not like the giggling gushing woman around him. He was talented and Thunder said he'd find a mate soon due to his abilities. Duster was swift and agile; strong and powerful. The only thing he lacked was charm. Many elders said he should work on that. But what for? He never wanted to mate. He'd rather eat pecha berries than mate. Oh, how he hated those "sugar berries". They were like poison to him. If he had a choice he'd rather starve then eat them.
The eevee sighed and went to a sitting position. It was near noon. He'd need to eat soon. Duster jumped to his paws and flicked his ears for any sign of movement. He'd need to be quick to catch his lunch, but that was one of his "abilities".

Psy looked around with hesitation. She decided to explore the island without the guide and protection of Blaze for today. Still fairly new to the island, she didn't know the strength and species that also inhabited this sanctuary. A wind combed through her fur as she felt the vast amount of activity that came with the mating season. Psy always dreamt about finding a strong mate, but for now it wasn't on her mind. Now is time to adapt more to her new home, find some new friends and settling in. Mating could wait another year or two. Even with the air thick with pheromones, she still enjoyed spring. Spring brought a warmer sun and also the time to sunbathe that was absent in the winter time. Before her was an area covered in grass and berry bushes but what caught her eye was a young Eevee. "It's been awhile since I last saw a Eevee," she said to herself. Of course Psy wasn't ignorant enough to know that Eevees didn't inhabit this island, she was an Espeon and she was here. Sitting her rump down on the ground, she smiled at the young kit. It brought back dear memories of when she was pre-evolved. Mostly what she thought of was her late trainer, Tsuki. She sighed to herself and debated whether she should approach the small pokemon. He could be stronger than her, he most likely was. Psy frowned, again her low level was her source of discomfort. If she agitated him in any ways he might challenge her, something she did not look forward to. "It's worth a shot," she shrugged. She walked carefully to the Eevee, not wanting to seem like a threat. "Hey there," she smiled, "may I join you."

OOC: Yume Duster wasn't eating any Pecha berries. Please don't say another character is doing something when they aren't as that is very close to powerplaying. Duster stretched out on the grass and turned his head as the light purple-colored pokemon appeared. He flicked his ears in annoyance. Just what he needed to distract him, a new pokemon. The smaller pokemon jumped to his paws and tilted his head to the side.
"I'm trying to hunt. You must be new here as I have never seen you around here before and I pretty much know all the eevees." He jumped as his paw hit a berry bush and a starly tumbled out. It squawked at Duster before flapping it's wings to fly off. Duster growled and ran after it. He bunched up his muscles and came into a pouncing position. With a strong kick off his back legs he leapt into the air just as the bird flew off. His paws batted at it and he hit it to the ground. Once on the ground he tackled it then bit it on the neck, killing it instantly. "Do you know how to hunt?" He was more curious than anything. Since she had lived with humans obviously Duster wasn't sure the Espeon would know how to do the necessary things to survive. He picked up his prey and carried it in his mouth as he made his way back to the female pokemon. Duster dropped it at his feet and placed a paw on it in case another pokemon tried to sneak up on him to take it away.

((Sorry Mimi dear...I think I misread the post, I saw Pecha berries and I saw eat. I loathe rping with my Ipad. Sorry!)) "I'm trying to hunt. You must be new here as I have never seen you around here before and I pretty much know all the eevees." She heard the Eevee say. Psy nodded but before she could speak he smacked at berry bush, a Starly dropped out in surprise. The Espeon watched awe as she witness the smaller pokemon hunt. By the way of how his muscle flexed or the precision when he caught the bird in the air, the Eevee obviously knew what he was doing and it was with great skill. She was rooted to the spot as the scene unfolded before her. One word came to her mind, wow. When he went in for the kill did she move to look away. "Do you know how to hunt?" he asked her. He trotted over to her once he was finished with his prize in his jaws. Once over, setting his hunt on the ground. ¡°I¡¯ve tried to in the past but it has never been my strongest suit. Never been really successful,¡± she shook her head, ¡°for most of my life, I¡¯ve been a tame pokemon.¡± The Eevee was strong, no doubt, stronger than any other little Eevee she had seen in her year of wilderness. Her head tilted to the side as she watched him for just a moment more. Taking a paw to her face, she started to lick it before running it over her large ears and cheek tufts. Shaking out her head to settle the roused hair back into place then she beamed a smile at him. ¡°You are a really tough Eevee, aren¡¯t you,¡± she asked, ¡°my name¡¯s Psy. As you can tell I¡¯m kinda new around here. Pleased to meet¡¯cha!¡±

Duster flicked his ears as he listened to the Espeon speak. He tilted his head to the side as she mentioned humans. Curiousity seemed to swell deep inside of him. He had never seen a human, being born on Oran Island had it's disadvantages like that. Though many spoke of humans as bad he didn't know what to think of that. He was sure not all of them were bad, just like pokemon. The eevee knew some mean pokemon and some nice ones. Everyone was different, that included humans and pokemon alike.
"What was your human like?" He spoke the question before he could stop himself. Usually when he asked the question the pokemon would snap at him and tell him they were evil and not to be trusted and that he had better shut up about them. He braced himself; hunching his shoulders and flattening his ears against his head. If Thunder had heard him she would of yelled at him good. Ever since he was just a kit Thunder had watched after him. Whether that was good or bad he didn't know. He did know that she didn't like humans and had founded this island for pokemon that didn't like them either. But he didn't like that even his curiousity was attacked by asking one simple question.

"What was your human like?" she heard him ask her. Psy turned to answer him but was confused when his stance turned defensive. Did he expect her to attack him after asking her that simple question? She tilted her head in confusion as she stared down at him. Then she remembered what Blaze has told her. Many of these pokemon, including The Six, came to this island to escape abusive or neglecting trainers. The little Eevee must have received many negative feedbacks when he asked this question of any other pokemon before. Her gaze softened as she smiled tenderly down at the pokemon. She leaned down and nuzzled his head briefly before sitting upright again. ¡°My trainer was a kind one,¡± she explained, ¡°though I did not enjoy his company at first, his act of love and courage to protect me made me realize that I couldn¡¯t have had a better trainer.¡± Looking down at her collar, a gentle smile graced her lips. ¡°He would take care of us better than he would himself,¡± she laughed, ¡°many times it was I who would look after his health than he would mine.¡± She then realized that this kit was probably born and raised here on this island since his birth. If so then he probably never had any interaction with any humans before. ¡°I¡¯m sure many inhabitants of this sanctuary would tell you how vile humans can act and be, unfortunately many are, but many also do treat their companions with love and tenderness,¡± she explained, ¡°I was a friend and companion to my trainer, only submissive by my own choice.¡±

Duster dodged the Espeons head nudge. Even if he was being nice for the moment he wouldn't let a complete stranger touch him. He listened as he spoke of her late human. Her words reflected her own sadness of being away from him, but Duster couldn't understand. It was mostly due to his young knowledge and the fact he had never met a human before. He curled his brown tail over his paws and tilted his head to the side once more.
"I don't know what to think of them. Is that why you wear that funny looking thing?" He flicked his paw at the item that hung from her slender neck. "But..." He froze in his place as he heard a rustling behind him. Quickly he did an about face and pounced on the leaves. Beneath his paws set a now-dead rattatta. He picked it up by the tail and threw it to Psy, where it landed on her paws. "There. Thanks for trying to explain humans to me." He smirked as he started to defeather the starly he had caught earlier. He suddenly realized how hungry he was when his stomach growled at him. The eevee bent over and tore a piece of meat from the prey and swallowed it in one bite. He glanced over at the Espeon to see if she was eating as well. Did she even know how to eat a whole prey?

She was slightly surprised when the Eevee avoided her contact. It was normal for captured pokemon to interact is such a way. Maybe it was different for wild? Psy didn¡¯t know but decided to avoid any more physical contact until she got better acquainted with the Eevee. "I don't know what to think of them. Is that why you wear that funny looking thing?" he asked as he motioned toward her collar. Funny looking? Well, since he was wild he never had seen anything like it in his life. As she was about to reply to his question she was interrupted to hear a rustling a moment after the Eevee. It was almost like lightening the way the Eevee was already on the prey. Although she had already seen his ability as a hunter when he caught the Starly but it still didn¡¯t cease to amaze her. Psy didn¡¯t even see the prey until it was dead underneath his paw. She kept on staring at he picked up the Rattatta and threw it at her paws. "There. Thanks for trying to explain humans to me." He said as he began to eat his meal. All Psy could do was stare down at the carcass before her. It wasn¡¯t that she felt bad for the little pokemon but she just didn¡¯t know how to really EAT it. She then realized him say something about the reason he gave her the prey. ¡°Oh, it¡¯s no problem,¡± she said, ¡°feel free to ask anything and I¡¯ll be happy to answer.¡± She placed both her front paws on the meal and opened her mouth, showing her set of sharp ivories. As she tried eating it, she kept on tilting her head to experiment where to actually bite. Many times she would lift her to just stare at it.

Duster rose his head to watch the Espeon eat the meat he had given to her. She seemed to be wary of it and kept tasting it before swallowing. The male eevee bent down again to tear off a piece of breast meat, pushing down the prey with his front paws. As the meat tore off he nearly gulped it down. He'd need his energy today if he actually wanted to teach the Espeon to hunt. Their breed could eat almost anything from berries to raticates.
"I'll help you to learn how to hunt rattata first, since they're easiest to catch. Next will be birds. So be prepared for tired paws." He explained. As he tore off the last piece of meat from the Starly he kicked dirt over the bones so no bigger pokemon would attack them. Duster curled his tail around his paws and patiently waited. He picked up his paws and licked each in turn, running them down his face and over his long ears to clean them.
"We'll go somewhere else to hunt though. And won't eat it but i'll teach you to save it for later, so others won't find it."
